Stephen fry books mythology6/24/2023 Footnotes and a detailed list of characters are included which I found very helpful and interesting. In this epic story, you will see the names of Achilles, Agamemnon, Helen and Patroclus as well as Zeus, Athena, Hera and Aphrodite and many more. I have added MYTHOS and HEROES to my TBR. With TROY being the third book in his Great Mythology Series, I didn’t have a hard time getting into the story. Throughout the story, Fry makes references to MYTHOS and HEROES, so if you’ve read both books you will be familiar with the characters. He takes a story and easily makes it come to life with vivid descriptions. I haven’t read any books by Stephen Fry and was pleasantly surprised by his storytelling. We are introduced to several characters, many of whom the reader might forget along the way (Fry mentions this himself), but the main characters stay fresh in the readers’ minds. Accompanied by glossy illustrations, the reader is taken back to a time before the downfall of Troy. But with this book, Stephen Fry takes Greek history and Mythology and creates a story that has the reader captivated from the first page to the last. Most of us are familiar with the story of Troy or might have seen the movie (2004).
